Info and Disclaimer
If you want to convert an ADIF file into a Cabrillo file, it is necessary that the ADIF file complies with the typical settings of a contest log ADIF. If instead you try to convert an ADIF file coming from a generic log where you may have written the data received together with the report from the correspondent in a “comments” field of the log, the conversion will still be performed by this program but it will be formally incorrect and the log will not be accepted by the upload platform.
When converting an ADIF file to Cabrillo, you will need to fill in the required fields. As optional fields, you will need to specify whether you are also passing a serial number, and what type of data you are passing in addition to the serial number (province, ITU zone, CQ zone, or other that you can specify). Some contest logs also export their own sent data into ADIF, so in those cases you will not need to specify it.
The conversion to Cabrillo works formally well, but there may still be problems or difficulties, so uploading to the contest organizer’s platform might not work. You may need to make several attempts. There are no guarantees of proper functioning, and errors may occur. Free use with no warranty whatsoever. Copying the source code is prohibited.
