Getting settled with Gardening, hiking, baking, cooking( ex-chef) and setting up my shack in the Andie mountains at an altitude of 8100'(tall tower!). I'm running a IC-7851, Alpha 8100, AT-AUTO Tuner by Palstar and working on my 60' with Force 12 Magnum 240N 40m, 2 element yagi, and a Force 12 C-3E tribander. I also have long wire, end feed antennas plus a Four Square receiving array by DXEngineering. I feel that I'm living in paradise everyday and really love the friendship of the locals. C5DX Gambia

Alan, G4DJX will be active as C5DX from Gambia, 14 - 21 February 2025. They will operate on 40 - 10m CW, using 100 watts and OCF antenna.Recent DX Spots C5DX QSL via LOTW. Information from G4DJX: The call C5DX has been granted as part of a school trip to the Gambia. A party of 18 sixth form students and 3 staff from Sandringham School in St. Albans will visit their partner school Farafenni Senior Secondary High. The two schools have worked in partnership for 10 years and Farafenni High is now one of the highest achieving rural schools in The Gambia. Part of the visit is to see the progress of a major extension to the school library to create a dedicated learning space for students to use in and out of school hours. This has been achieved from fund raising at Sandringham School, St. Albans.

C5DX – The Gambia

Look for Alan, G4DJX to again be active from The Gambia as C5DX during February 14-21, 2025. QRV during spare-time on HF bands (CW) using OCF and 100w. QSL via LotW. Info from Alan: I will be on a Sandringham School trip to our partner, Farafennin Senior Secondary High School, The Gambia. Will have a K3 and OCF dipole running 100W from balcony of hotel. C5B, C5C, & C5D – The Gambia

With F5RAV (C5C) having to return home early yesterday, Arnaud F4AGG continued operating as C5D until 1530z today. He had been active on SSB, RTTY & CW using a Hexbeam. Now dismantling begins.
