H40WA – Temotu Province

H40WA is now QRT. We are satisfied that we were able to achieve our goal of 60,000 QSOs with our seven man team. Thank you for chasing us across the bands and for your many donations. Pre-donors will receive LoTW uploads and QSL cards as they become available. For everyone else please use OQRS for your confirmations. Thank you! The H40WA Team. H40WA is approaching the end of our stay. We are tearing down half of our stations and antennas today (5th) and the rest tomorrow. We will resume two stations on 10, 20, 60 and 80 meters shortly and operate into tomorrow (6th) where we will QRT completely. Today is our last full day of operation. The solar flare is greatly affecting propagation, however we will push forward. Tomorrow we will begin taking down our antennas leaving a 20 meter station on until the very end. We must QRT on March 6th (Temotu date) as we begin traveling home on March 7th. We’ve had a great time bringing you H40WA and we hope that you have enjoyed chasing us across the bands. H44MS Solomon Islands

Bernhard, DL2GAC will be active as H44MS from Manakwai village, Malaita Island, IOTA OC - 047, Solomon Islands, during 25 January - 10 April 2026. He will be operate on 40 - 6m SSB and FT8.Recent DX Spots H44MS QSL via home call. Ads for direct QSL: Bernhard M. Stefan, Moeggenweilerstr. 18, 88677 Markdorf, Germany. Standing in the North east of Papua New Guinea and northwest of Vanuatu is royal country named as Solomon islands and land area is over area of 28,400 sq. Kilometers. Capital of country that is located on the Guadal canal island is Honiara. Melanesian island, Solomon Islands archipelago and is different from Solomon Islands. This island is populated for thousands of years. Solomon Islands campaign was started in 1942 and last in 1945 and there was great battle between United States and the Empire of Japan during Second World War. British territory official name was changed to “Solomon Islands" from "the British Solomon Islands Protectorate" in 1975. After two years independence was obtained.

H44MS – Solomon Islands

Bernard, H44MS will again be active from Manakwai village, nearby Malu’u (northern Malaita island) during January 25 to April 10, 2026. Note: Bernard mentions that LP to EU is not good from his location (RI01hp). See below for pics and details about Bernard’s QTH from a previous news update. I have been operating from here during about 10 visits usually lasting 2-3 months. Pictures were taken today early morning around 20.00 UT (7.00am local). Weather has been so far poor, hardly any 24 hours without rain, sometimes cat and dogs, sometimes short light showers. Always above 25 degrees, but few sunshine.
