1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Android applications published by Roberto Borrelli / IK6QRH under the QRH Ham Radio World project handle information when users install or use the apps.
This policy is intended to be available from the Google Play store listing and, where technically possible, from within the app. The information in this document must be consistent with the app's Google Play Data safety form and with the app's actual behavior.
2. Information We Collect
The apps are designed to operate with minimal data processing. We do not require users to create an account and we do not intentionally collect names, addresses, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, photos, payment information, or other personal information through the app unless a specific feature clearly asks the user to provide it.
Depending on the specific app and device configuration, the app may process technical information that is necessary for normal operation, such as app settings, preferences, logs, device status, radio-related configuration, or locally stored user choices. This information is normally stored on the user's device and is not intentionally transmitted to us.
3. How Information Is Used
Any information processed by the app is used only to provide the app's features, remember user preferences, improve stability, diagnose technical problems, and maintain compatibility with Android devices.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for profiling, behavioral advertising, or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Data Sharing
We do not intentionally share personal information collected through the app with third parties. However, the app may be distributed through Google Play and may run on Android services provided by Google. Google may process certain information independently as described in Google's own privacy policies and Google Play terms.
If a future version of an app includes third-party services such as analytics, crash reporting, advertising, cloud sync, or external APIs, the store listing and this policy should be updated to identify those services and explain the related data processing before publication.
5. Permissions
Some apps may request Android permissions only when they are needed for a feature. Examples may include network access to retrieve online radio information, storage access to open or save user files, Bluetooth or USB access to communicate with external hardware, or notification permission to show app alerts.
Permissions are used only for the purpose described by the app feature. Users can manage or revoke app permissions in the Android system settings.
6. Data Retention
Information stored locally by the app remains on the user's device until the user deletes it, clears the app data, or uninstalls the app. If we receive support requests by email, we may keep the messages for the time reasonably necessary to answer the request and maintain support records.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the app. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children and Minors
The apps are not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly request, collect, use, disclose, sell, or share personal information from children under 13 years of age, or from minors where parental consent is required by applicable law.
If an app is made available to children or families, it must comply with applicable child privacy laws and Google Play Families policies, including requirements related to parental consent, age-appropriate content, advertising, SDKs, and data minimization.
If a parent or legal guardian believes that a child has provided personal information through one of our apps, they should contact us using the contact details below. We will review the request and delete the information where required and technically possible.
9. User Choices and Rights
Users can stop all data processing by uninstalling the app. Users can also clear local app data, manage app permissions, disable notifications, or contact us to request information, correction, or deletion of personal information that may have been provided directly to us.
Depending on the user's location, privacy laws may provide additional rights, such as access, deletion, correction, objection, restriction, or data portability. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.
10. International Users
The apps may be available internationally through Google Play. If users contact us directly, their message and related contact details may be processed in Italy or in the country where our email or hosting providers operate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, legal requirements, Google Play policies, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
